Avnet Technology Solutions, the global IT solutions distribution leader and operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced that three of its Americas executives were recognized by UBM Channel’s CRN Magazine as 2012 Women of the Channel. The Avnet executives selected for the list included Christy Anderson, vice president, customer operations, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas; Trisha Cooke, vice president of sales, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas, IBM Solutions group; and Nicole Enright, vice president, strategy development and execution, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas. Honorees on CRN’s 2012 Women of the Channel list were chosen based on the influential role they played over the past year in driving revenue for Avnet and its partners, and the steps they have taken to evangelize the importance of the IT channel.
In addition, Enright was selected for the second consecutive year as a Power 100 Woman of the Channel. An elite subset of the Women of the Channel list, the Power 100 designation is awarded to the highest-ranking women who hold the most prominent channel-focused positions. These women have made a name for themselves as leaders within their own companies and the IT channel as a whole.

Throughout this past year, Anderson has reached new heights with her accomplishments. With the support of her team, she successfully managed three value-added reseller partner councils. These councils drove improvements in the channel and identified mutual growth opportunities for partners and suppliers, as well as Avnet. Additionally, Anderson implemented a project for Avnet’s operations in Mexico that increased sales and customer-service levels.
