Group 1 Automotive Selects ExxonMobil As Preferred Supplier Of Engine Oil Products

ExxonMobil Lubricants and Petroleum Specialties Company, a division of Exxon Mobil Corporation has been selected as the preferred supplier of engine oil products for Group 1 Automotive, Inc., a Fortune 500 auto retailer.

As a result, Group 1 dealers in the United States will recommend Mobil-branded engine oil products as the preferred lubricant for dealer-based vehicle service, OEM Bulk Oil Programs Administered by ExxonMobil, and will have access to ExxonMobil sales and marketing support. About half of the Group 1 dealers will be on existing OEM programs while the other half will be on direct Mobil-branded products.

“Marketing support, experienced sales, and top-notch service are just a few of the benefits that ExxonMobil will provide all Group 1 Automotive dealers,” said Jeff Eckstein, Sales Manager-Strategic Accounts-Americas, ExxonMobil Lubricants and Petroleum Specialties Americas.

Group 1 dealers will receive full marketing support, including Mobil 1 and Mobil Super-branded signage, brochures, and access to ExxonMobil promotions. Group 1 mechanics and technicians will also receive specialized training to better communicate the value of the world’s leading synthetic motor oil brand, Mobil 1, to their customers.

With 111 dealerships across the country, Group 1 operates in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas. Group 1 dealerships span many OEMs, including Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, BMW/MINI, Mercedes-Benz, Infiniti, Audi, Mazda, Porsche, Chevrolet and more.
