Starz Entertainment's Randall McCurdy Promoted To SVP Sales & Affiliate Marketing, SVP Christine Carrier Adds Accounts

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., July 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Starz Entertainment President of Affiliate Distribution Ed Huguez announced the promotion of Randall McCurdy to senior vice president, sales and affiliate marketing.  Effective immediately, McCurdy manages for the company the Comcast Cable, Charter Communications, and Suddenlink Communications accounts.  McCurdy joined Starz Entertainment in 2008 and was vice president of sales and affiliate marketing responsible for National Division and other accounts.

In a related move, Christine Carrier, also a senior vice president, sales and affiliate marketing, is now responsible for the Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Cablevision, Bright House Networks, and National Division accounts.  McCurdy remains based out of the company's Englewood, Colo. headquarters, while Carrier will remain as head of the company's Atlanta offices.

Prior to Starz, McCurdy worked for Ascent Media Group where he was charged with market development of on-demand solutions, as well as enterprise solutions for asset management and trafficking of video. His past experience includes the launch of new networks and advanced services including video on demand, personal video recorders and interactive television for companies such as Discovery Communications and Philips Electronics.

McCurdy is a graduate of Missouri State University where he received his bachelors of science degree in marketing and management. He currently resides in Denver, Colo. with his wife Laura, daughter Jordan and son Lucas.

Carrier joined Starz Entertainment in November 2000 from Showtime Networks, where she was account vice president.  Carrier graduated from The University of New Hampshire with a BA and resides currently in Atlanta with her husband John and their two daughters.
