The Creator of Heaven and Apple

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Various sources claim that the world was built in seven days. Whether or not you choose to believe this depends on a litany of things -- many of which we are not going to get into here. However, I think we can agree that "the world" however you chose to define it and more specifically how it is constructed first required a vision.

Having an understanding of project management, I would imagine that (perhaps) prior to the finished product, a few models and blueprints were designed and then erased only to start over. I would have loved to have been able to peek inside God's waste basket to see the sketches and perhaps a rough draft that might have been discarded. In other words, I want to know if what we have now is as great as it could have ever been.

The World Was Built Like a PC

To help me understand some possible options, I have started to look at another great visionary in Apple's (AAPL) co-founder Steve Jobs. I mean why not? On many levels, not only is he a "god-like" figure, but depending on who you ask, you will be told that Jobs might have had a greater impact on the world than the "almighty" himself. Again, that's a debate for another time.

What I'm most interested in is figuring out if Jobs was the CEO and main visionary of "the world project" how much more advanced would we have been? Now you might be wondering, "Richard, how on God's green earth did you ever come up with a topic like this?" Allow me to explain.

More important than money and acquiring wealth, I would argue that Jobs' greatest motivation was "acquiring people" or more aptly people's reactions, things like smiles, amazement, surprises, open mouths, awe and laughter. Essentially his mission and vision was to capture imaginations by doing things no one has ever done before or thought possible.

To that end he first placed a focus on people and quality and everything else fell into place. I would argue that it was the opposite of how the earth was constructed, it was first built and then people came in after.
