Saratoga Resources, Inc. (NYSE MKT: SARA, the “Company”) has officially been added to the prestigious broad-market Russell Global Index and its sister indexes the Russell 3000® Index and the Russell Micro-Cap Index. Reconstitution of the Russell indexes occurred, and trading based on the newly reconstituted indexes began, on June 25, 2012.

Mr. Andy Clifford, President of Saratoga Resources, said today; “This is indeed a special day for Saratoga and our shareholders. Less than 2½ years ago we were a bulletin board company with a market cap of less than $20 million. Being added to the very prestigious Russell 3000 index validates our efforts and the growth strategy that we continue to employ in our efforts to build an industry leading oil and gas company.”
