Encana has a market cap of $14.6 billion and is part of the energy industry. The company has a P/E ratio of 29.2, below the average energy industry P/E ratio of 397.2 and above the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7. Shares are up 2.8% year to date as of the close of trading on Monday. Currently there are two analysts that rate Encana a buy, two analysts rate it a sell, and 12 rate it a hold.

The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, expanding profit margins and largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures. However, as a counter to these strengths, we also find weaknesses including a generally disappointing performance in the stock itself, feeble growth in the company's earnings per share and deteriorating net income.
