National Planning Corporation, Inc. (NPC ®) today announced the appointment of Randy Miller, 39, as first vice president and director of practice management. In his new role, Mr. Miller will oversee the firm’s Pursuit Program — a comprehensive platform that offers uniquely customized practice management coaching and consulting solutions for NPC’s financial advisers.

Mr. Miller is based at NPC’s headquarters in Santa Monica, Calif. and will report to Lynn Niedermeier, president and CEO of NPC. He has more than 13 years of experience in the financial services industry, beginning his career as a financial adviser with Prudential Securities. Mr. Miller has held regional vice president positions with parent company Jackson National Life Insurance and with Genworth Financial, and served as the director of a dedicated wealth advisory group with MetLife Investors. He originally joined NPC in 2009 and served as vice president and practice management consultant until 2011. Prior to accepting his current role, Mr. Miller served as the vice president of sales for a start-up enterprise in the hospitality industry.

“We’re really happy to welcome Randy back to NPC,” said Niedermeier. “His diverse financial services industry experience and strong existing relationships with our advisers make him an exceptional fit with the NPC team. We look forward to Randy’s new leadership role within the Pursuit Program, and his team’s continued commitment to delivering practice management solutions that support the business operations of our extensive rep base.”

Mr. Miller holds Certified Financial Planner (CFP ®) and Chartered Life Underwriter ® (CLU) ® designations, as well as a California insurance license. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law. He also holds Series 7, 24 and 63 securities registrations.

Mr. Miller replaces Jim Komoszewski, who has joined Investment Centers of America (ICA) in a practice management role. Located in Bismarck, N.D, ICA is also part of the National Planning Holdings, Inc. ® (NPH ®) network, the holding company of NPC. NPC has more than 1,500 affiliated financial representatives across the United States. For more information please visit
