(Nasdaq: MXWL) announced today that the editors of R&D Magazine have recognized Maxwell's ultracapacitor-based Engine Start Module (ESM) for medium and heavy duty trucks as one of the 100 most technologically significant products introduced into the marketplace over the past year.

Maxwell's ESM incorporates patented ultracapacitor technology to provide the power required to reliably start Class 6 to 8 medium and heavy duty trucks.
