Kimball International Employees Donate 3,133 Pairs Of Shoes To International Charity Soles4Souls®

For the second year in a row, employees of Kimball International have worked together to donate more than 3,000 pairs of shoes to the charity Soles4Souls.

Soles4Souls is based in Nashville, Tennessee (USA), and collects gently worn or new shoes to distribute to people who need them. Formed in 2004, Soles4Souls has given out 18 million pairs of shoes to people in need since then, both in the United States and internationally.

As part of Kimball’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, the company encouraged employees to donate to Soles4Souls’ cause over the course of a week. Several Kimball showrooms also hosted evening donation events with dealers and business partners to encourage donations. All together, Kimball International collected 3,133 pairs of shoes for Soles4Souls at 26 of its 30 locations worldwide.

All of Kimball International’s brand units – Kimball Office, Kimball Electronics Group, Kimball Hospitality, and National Office Furniture – joined the cause and brought in shoes. Kimball Logistics Services collected the donated shoes and transported them to Soles4Souls’ Tennessee warehouse.
