Obama, Romney Back on the Attack
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- It's a battle between 2003 and 2012.
While Barack Obama's campaign ran a Web video on Monday that panned Mitt Romney's record in 2003 and 2004 while he was Massachusetts governor, Romney's campaign smacked the president for May's weak jobs report.

Romney's video first played various cable news clips of anchors' reactions to the June 1 Bureau of Labor Statistics announcement that found "employment changed little" with the addition of 69,000 jobs, and followed with Obama's gaffe last week that "the private sector is doing fine."
Obama's video played a clip of Romney questioning the president's view that the country needs more firemen, policemen and teachers, but then shows interviews with various Massachusetts local politicians claiming that the state's cities were less safe and dirtier during Romney's tenure. Obama's campaign has used the interviews with local Massachusetts politicians in a previous video. The latest videos appear to signal that both campaigns are determined to continue to attack each other's political record. This is sharp contrast from a few weeks ago when Romney's private-equity background was in the spotlight as Obama attacked it and Romney went on the defense. -- Written by Joe Deaux in New York. >Contact by Email.
