Millennium Pipeline Names Industry Veterans To Lead Company

PEARL RIVER, N.Y., May 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Millennium Pipeline Company, L.L.C. today announced two leadership changes to further position the company's focus on safety, operational excellence and customer service.

Rocco D'Alessandro has been named President of the company and Stanley Brownell has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations effective May 29, 2012.  

D'Alessandro has worked in the energy industry for more than 30 years and is a seasoned veteran in the natural gas business. Most recently he served as Executive Vice President of Operations for Nicor Gas, the largest natural gas distribution company in Illinois, serving 2.2 million customers. In that capacity, he was accountable for delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective service to customers, including customer care, gas distribution, field operations, administration, engineering, gas supply and transmission and storage.

Brownell has more than 25 years of experience in the natural gas industry and served as Vice President of Business Development at Millennium for the past three years. Prior to joining Millennium, he was Head of Market Development and Trading for Harken Energy.  At Harken Energy, he was responsible for market development of standard and renewable energy projects, hedging strategies and the creation of Harken Energy Management and Investments (Hemi), a wholly owned trading subsidiary. Prior to joining Harken Energy, Brownell held executive and managerial positions with energy companies participating in the upstream exploration, production, transportation and marketing of natural gas.

D'Alessandro holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Illinois State University and a master's degree in business administration from Illinois Benedictine College. He will be relocating to the New York area with his wife Margie.

Brownell holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Michigan Technological University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Houston.  In addition, he holds a Series 3 Commodity Trading License and a Certificate of Civil Mediation from the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators.
