Heartland BancCorp Ranks 97th In American Banker Magazine Top 200 Community Banks And Thrifts In The Nation

GAHANNA, Ohio, May 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --  American Banker Magazine just released, in the May issue, its annual list of the Top 200 Community Banks and Thrifts in the nation.  For the second year in a row Gahanna-based Heartland BancCorp (OTC Bulletin Board: HLAN) was ranked as the 97th Best Community Bank in the Nation out of approximately 7,000.  Heartland BancCorp's ranking moved from 112th ranking in 2010 to 97th in 2011.   Heartland BancCorp is the only community bank in Central Ohio to make the list, and 1 of 16 ranked in the state.  The ranking is based on a three-year average return on equity.
