TESSCO Earns TL 9000 Certification And Maintains ISO 9001:2008

TESSCO Technologies Incorporated (NASDAQ:TESS), a leading provider of the product and value chain solutions required to build, use and maintain wireless systems, today announced that it has achieved TL 9000 certification (TL14163) – a demanding, international Quality Management System (QMS) built on ISO 9001 principles.

TL 9000, an extension of ISO: 9001, is designed to validate a QMS governing the design, development, production, delivery, installation, and maintenance of products and services for telecommunications. Created and continually improved by The Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications (QuEST) Forum, a consortium of telecommunications service providers and suppliers dedicated to continually improving standards in the telecommunications industry, TL 9000 has become a globally accepted quality standard.

To achieve this distinction, aspects of TESSCO’s business were audited by National Quality Assurance, U.S.A., an accredited organization under the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board. “This milestone represents TESSCO’s focus on maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence and our proven ability to demonstrate cost- and performance-based improvements of reliability and quality of products, services, and supply-chain solutions,” said TESSCO Senior Vice President Doug Rein. “We look forward to applying the TL 9000 process improvements across our business, which will help us drive productivity and sustainable improvements, and ensure standard business practices across multiple locations – guaranteeing a consistent, positive experience for all stakeholders.”
