MONROE, La., May 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) announced today the voluntary departure of two executives and the related appointment of three executives to key positions within the company.

Dennis Huber, executive vice president – network services, will depart the company June 1, 2012. He will be replaced by Maxine Moreau, who currently serves as senior vice president – integration and process improvement, and previously has held leadership positions in various areas of the company, such as information technology, operations and network operations.

"Dennis' drive and determination for excellence will be greatly missed. He demonstrated outstanding leadership throughout the Embarq, Qwest and Savvis acquisitions, and we wish him well in the future," said Glen F. Post, III, CenturyLink chief executive officer and president.

Stephanie Comfort, executive vice president – corporate strategy and development, will depart the company July 1, 2012. Matt Beal will assume the role of senior vice president - corporate strategy, product development and chief technology officer. Beal currently serves as senior vice president and chief technology officer, product development and strategy.

"We have benefited from Stephanie's leadership, long-range vision and strategic thinking," Post said. "We wish her the very best in her future endeavors."

Tom McEvoy, senior vice president – integration and process improvement, will assume all integration-related responsibilities previously held by Moreau.

"We will miss having Dennis and Stephanie at CenturyLink, but we are pleased to continue our company's strong leadership tradition through the appointments of Maxine, Matt and Tom," Post said. "These executives have been significant contributors to CenturyLink's success, and we look forward to their ongoing contributions in their new roles."
