Turkcell: Leading Turkey By Far In 3G Download Speed At 11.9 Mbps

Turkcell (NYSE: TKC, ISE: TCELL), the leading communications and technology company, is delighted to announce that based on the 3G speed test run by PCNet; a technology magazine in Turkey, Turkcell is by far the leader in 3G download speed at 11.9 Mbps on average.

A PCNet reporter flew 5,624 kilometers to run 2,136 3G speed tests at 59 points in 9 cities, representing 7 regions of Turkey.  Turkcell, with an average 3G download speed 3 times greater than the other players in the market, has been by far the leader at both data download and upload speed.  Out of nine cities where the tests were run, Istanbul has seen the highest 3G download speed of 14.05 Mbps and Gaziantep the lowest of 9.12 Mbps on the Turkcell network.
