The Private Bank Of California Hires Three Key Bankers To Expand Its Presence

The Private Bank of California (the “Bank”) (OTCBB: PBCA) today announced the hiring of three key bankers who will spearhead the opening of the Bank’s Orange County Branch Office, a full service location scheduled to open in Irvine this July. David Cobb, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager, Joe Mauriello, Senior Vice President Relationship Manager, and Mary Chilton, Vice President of Banking Operations, will be in charge of establishing the Bank’s presence throughout Orange County. This marks The Private Bank of California’s first branch to open outside of Los Angeles County.

David Cobb, who has 27 years of banking experience in Orange County, will rely on the Bank’s existing strengths and unique, hands-on approach to develop a successful presence in the region. David joins The Private Bank of California from Community Bank in Orange County, where he most recently held the title of First Vice President. Prior to that, he worked as Senior Vice President of Mellon 1 ^st Business Bank in Newport Beach for nearly 18 years.

Joe Mauriello will focus on middle market financing at The Private Bank of California and brings over 30 years of commercial banking experience to the team. Prior to this, he worked as Vice President Relationship Manager at Bank of the West in Newport Beach, and before that he spent ten years at Sanwa Bank in the Bay Area as Vice President Commercial Banking Manager.

Mary Chilton joins the Bank with over 34 years of experience in operations and project management. She has worked alongside David Cobb for the past 22 years and will continue to provide great support to both David and Joe. Prior to this, she was Vice President Customer Service Manager at Community Bank and before that the Vice President Regional Operations Manager at Mellon 1 ^st Business Bank where she worked for over 27 years.

All three team members will report directly to Nick Zappia, Executive Vice President of The Private Bank of California. “David, Joe and Mary have tremendous experience in Business and Private banking…they make a strong, cohesive team and will be a great asset to the Bank,” says Zappia. “We are very excited to welcome them and have great confidence in their abilities to open and lead the Bank’s new Orange County office.”
