BNY Mellon Wins Five Custody Risk Americas Awards 2012

NEW YORK, May 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BNY Mellon, the global leader in investment management and investment services, announced that it has been named winner of five awards by Custody Risk Magazine in its inaugural Custody Risk Americas Awards 2012.  The awards celebrate outstanding achievements for custodians, fund administrators, and service providers in North and South America.  Winners were announced April 18 at an event in New York City.

Awards were presented in 21 categories.  BNY Mellon was the only company to receive five, taking honors as the year's top Pension Fund Custodian, Mutual Fund Administrator, Custodian-Latin America, Transfer Agent, as well as jointly winning Most Innovative Project of the Year with its affiliate Pershing LLC.  That award was for the firms' work on two new collateral management applications, PrimeConnect ™ and PrimeConnect40 ™, which automate the process of moving collateral between custodian and prime broker.  BNY Mellon also was highly commended in the Outsourcing Provider category.

Awards were chosen by an independent panel of judges that included Josh Galper of Finadium Fund Services, Joyce Heinzerling of Meridian Fund Advisors, and Michael Talbot of Navigant.
