Transatlantic Reinsurance Company Announces Election Of Directors And Officers

Transatlantic Reinsurance Company (“Transatlantic”), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Alleghany Corporation (NYSE: Y), today announced that Kenneth Brandt, Executive Vice President, President of North America, and Julian Spence, Executive Vice President & Chief Risk Officer, were elected to Transatlantic’s Board of Directors.

In addition, Transatlantic announced the election of the following officers:
