Whitestone REIT Updates Timing Of First Quarter Earnings Release And Conference Call To May 9, 2012

Whitestone REIT (NYSE-AMEX: WSR – “Whitestone”), a fully integrated real estate company that owns, operates and re-develops Community Centered Properties ^TM, which are visibly located properties in established or developing culturally diverse neighborhoods, today announced that it has rescheduled its first quarter 2012 webcast and conference call by one day due to a scheduling conflict. The Company will release financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2012 after the market closes, May 9, 2012.

The Company will host a webcast and conference call for investors and other interested parties on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time). The call will be hosted by James Mastandrea, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and David Holeman, Chief Financial Officer.
