UT Tyler And Academic Partnerships Announce New Relationship And The Launch Of Three Online Master Degree Programs

TYLER, Texas, April 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The University of Texas at Tyler announces its new relationship with Academic Partnerships, a higher education online service provider, that will assist the university in launching three online degree programs this fall --  Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management, Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering.

Through Academic Partnerships, we can reach the students where they are and help them further their academic and professional goals," said Dr. Donna Dickerson, UT Tyler interim provost and vice president for academic affairs.

UT Tyler is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. Every course within these online degree programs is developed based upon the nationally recognized Quality Matters (QM) Rubric for quality online instruction. Academic Partnerships, which subscribes to Quality Matters, helps college faculty develop courses intended to meet Quality Matters standards.

Online degree programs have emerged as the most rapidly developing trend in higher education with universities converting traditional programs into an online format. Dallas-based Academic Partnerships works exclusively with state universities converting their traditional degree programs to online delivery and recruiting qualified students supporting them through graduation.
