CIT Appoints Stacey Goodman Chief Information Officer
CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT) cit.com, a leading provider of financing to small businesses and middle market companies, today announced the appointment of Stacey Goodman (49) as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer effective April 30, 2012. She will report to Nelson J. Chai, President of CIT Group Inc.
“Technology continues to play an important role in CIT’s growth strategy,” said Mr. Chai. “Stacey’s global IT experience will be integral as a best-in-class technology platform will assist us in creating tailored financing solutions for our small business and middle market clients.”
Goodman will be responsible for the Systems and Technology Services organization, including overseeing approximately 700 information technology (IT) professionals worldwide. She will be responsible for reviewing and maintaining the IT systems at CIT while looking for opportunities to consolidate systems, reduce costs and determine key areas for innovation and investment.
Prior to CIT, Goodman served as Managing Director of Global Technology & Operations at Bank of America. Before this she was Managing Director, Information Technology at UBS. She also served as Department Head, Global Fixed Income at BT Alex Brown and has held other senior level positions with various financial institutions over the course of her 26-year career.
