Exede(SM) By ViaSat Newsgathering Enables News Crews To Deliver More Stories From The Field

CARLSBAD, Calif., April 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Broadcast journalists now have a new way to capture, edit, and deliver full HD stories from the field that is more affordable than traditional satellite services and reaches beyond the boundaries of microwave. Exede(SM) Newsgathering is a first-of-its-kind service based on the transformational new satellite system created by ViaSat Inc. (NASDAQ: VSAT). Terminals can either be vehicle-mounted or transported in a luggage-sized carrying case. The service is available in the U.S. now on a select basis with general availability by the end of this year.
