Barnes & Noble Inc. : Approximately 5,687,800 shares changed hands, a 380.6 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.19 or 1.6 percent to $11.73.

Chesapeake Lodging Trust : Approximately 534,200 shares changed hands, a 281.7 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.12 or .7 percent to $17.64.

Forest City Enterprises Inc. class B : Approximately 9,200 shares changed hands, a 1,461.0 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.13 or .9 percent to $14.67.
