ACE USA Appoints Paul Cunney To Lead Public Entity Practice

ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group, today announced that Paul Cunney has been appointed Vice President and Practice Leader for ACE USA’s Public Entity industry practice. In this role, Mr. Cunney will oversee ACE’s coordinated offerings for federal, state, county, and municipal governments, agencies and authorities, as well as the public education sector.

ACE’s Public Entity Practice offers a comprehensive suite of coverages, including general liability, primary auto, excess liability, public officials’ liability, school board legal liability, miscellaneous professional liability, and environmental liability. In addition, the group offers companion products, on an individual risk basis, including construction wrap up, builders risk, multinational casualty, and accident & health.

Mr. Cunney will be based in Jersey City, N.J., and will report to Mitchell Schmidt, Senior Vice President and National Manager of ACE USA’s Custom Casualty unit.

With nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Mr. Cunney joined ACE in January 2005, and most recently served as Vice President and National Product Manager for ACE USA’s Public Officials and School Leaders, and Errors & Omissions (E&O) products.
