SYRACUSE, N.Y., April 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Responding to customer and industry demands, Carrier now offers its highest efficiency commercial packaged rooftop ever, the WeatherExpert™ Series in 3- to 5-ton sizes. These ENERGY STAR®-rated models meet or exceed the Consortium of Energy Efficiency (CEE) rebate levels with Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) ratings up to 17.5, and they exceed the current federal minimum energy requirements by more than 34 percent. Similar to other models in the Carrier Weather Series line, the WeatherExpert units were designed to fit on Carrier-similar roof curbs that have been installed over the last 30 years, making replacement or new construction easy. The WeatherExpert is available with a multi-speed scroll compressor and ECM (electronically commutated motor) outdoor fan motor. In addition, customers have the option of choosing an ECM indoor fan motor or indoor belt variable frequency drive (VFD) system, depending on the specific application.
