NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- The ex-dividend date for UDR (NYSE:UDR) is tomorrow, April 4, 2012. Owners of shares as of market close today will be eligible for a dividend of 22 cents per share. At a price of $26.94 as of 9:30 a.m. ET, the dividend yield is 3.3%.

The average volume for UDR has been 1.9 million shares per day over the past 30 days. UDR has a market cap of $5.49 billion and is part of the financial sector and real estate industry. Shares are up 7.2% year to date as of the close of trading on Monday.

UDR, Inc. formerly United Dominion Realty Trust, Inc., operates as a self-administered equity real estate investment trust (REIT). It owns, acquires, renovates, develops, and manages middle-market apartment communities.
