Rite Aid Is Easter Headquarters With All The Goodies A "Bunny" Could Need For One-Stop 'Hopping

Rite Aid makes Easter shopping easy with holiday hours right through Sunday and a wide selection of candy, baskets, stuffed plush animals, toys and novelties. The annual kick-off to warm weather also brings garden gadgets, cookout accessories, and yard toys and games to Rite Aid shelves nationwide.

Easter is the nation's second top-selling candy holiday, according to the National Confectioners Association, which estimates that 16 billion jelly beans and 90 million chocolate Easter bunnies are produced each year. Americans are expected to spend nearly $17 billion at all retailers nationwide this year, according to the National Retail Federation, which predicts an 11 percent increase from 2011.

"Spring has officially sprung at Rite Aid," said Tony Montini, executive vice president, merchandising for Rite Aid. "Whether they’re searching for the perfect fillings for Easter baskets or other seasonal must-haves, Rite Aid offers a wide variety of fun and affordably priced goodies guaranteed to make sure springtime fun lasts well into summer."

The Candy, All Fine and Dandy

Russell Stover Mini Eggs are available in new flavors this year including caramel, marshmallow and coconut. Tried-and-true favorites include Cadbury Creme Eggs, Reese's milk chocolate-covered peanut butter eggs, Mighty Malts speckled eggs and bags of peanut M&M's in pastel Bunny Mix themes featuring miniature chicks and bunnies. Other Easter favorites include Peeps, Sixlets, Brach's Jelly Bird Eggs, Melster chocolate-covered marshmallow eggs in decorative egg cartons and Palmer chocolate bunnies.

Toys & Novelties

Fill a basket with fun, affordable toys including bunny-eared Angry Birds from the popular game, palm-sized googly chicks that flash when bounced, bunny rockets, dizzy bunny spinning toys, Ty Basket Beanies and Beanie Boos, and dozens of plush toys including realistic and multicolor big foot bunnies. Other novelties include value items from Rite Aid's private brand Home including sock monkeys, throw-in-the-air paratroopers, singing bunnies and baby booties, bibs and hats in new sock-monkey designs. And don't forget the plastic eggs – including a new 120-count value pack – or egg dye kits. For the high school or college basket, Rite Aid has a wide selection of bath and beauty products, including Easter deals on new Simple skin care lines and Garnier Renew products.
