VANCOUVER, March 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - GOLDCORP INC. (TSX: G) (NYSE: GG) announced that its 2011 Annual Report is now available on SEDAR, EDGAR, and its website at www.goldcorp.com. In addition, Goldcorp's Annual Information Form and Form 40-F report have been filed on EDGAR and SEDAR, respectively.  Furthermore, a new National Instrument 43-101 technical report has been filed for each of Goldcorp's Éléonore Project and Pueblo Viejo Project (40%).  There are no material differences between the mineral reserve and mineral resource estimates contained in Goldcorp's news release dated February 15, 2012 pertaining to these projects, from those contained in the new technical reports filed.

Goldcorp management believes the potential exists to significantly expand the gold resource at Éléonore, and further believes in the potential to double the plant throughput to 7,000 tonnes per day utilizing a dual shaft concept, contributing to an average of more than 600,000 ounces of gold production per year over an approximate 15-year mine life.  The total initial capital cost of this plan is estimated at approximately $1.4 billion. The Company continues to advance construction of the 7,000 tonne-per-day mine, with the exploration shaft reaching a depth of 690 metres and exploration ramp reaching an extent of over 1,000 metres.  Surface preparation is underway on the second production shaft and plant construction is expected to commence during the second quarter.

The technical report on the Pueblo Viejo joint venture includes gold production expectations to Goldcorp's account of 415,000 to 450,000 ounces per year in the first five years of operation.
