NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Leapfrog (NYSE:LF) hit a new 52-week high Friday as it is currently trading at $8.51, above its previous 52-week high of $8.49 with 19,242 shares traded as of 9:30 a.m. ET. Average volume has been 713,000 shares over the past 30 days.

Leapfrog has a market cap of $275.1 million and is part of the consumer goods sector and consumer durables industry. Shares are up 51.5% year to date as of the close of trading on Thursday.

LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc. designs, develops, and markets technology-based learning products and related proprietary content for children worldwide. The company has a P/E ratio of 27.2, below the average consumer durables industry P/E ratio of 27.5 and above the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.
