Taiwan Semiconductor Reaches New 52-Week High (TSM)

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE:TSM) hit a new 52-week high Tuesday as it is currently trading at $14.82, above its previous 52-week high of $14.80 with 2.3 million shares traded as of 11:20 a.m. ET. Average volume has been 11 million shares over the past 30 days.

Taiwan Semiconductor has a market cap of $72.2 billion and is part of the technology sector and electronics industry. Shares are up 11.5% year to date as of the close of trading on Monday.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited engages in the computer-aided designing, manufacturing, packaging, testing, and selling integrated circuits and other semiconductor devices; and manufacturing masks. The company has a P/E ratio of 13, below the average electronics industry P/E ratio of 24.8 and below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.
