The Advisory Board Company Launches Innovations In Impact Grants

WASHINGTON, March 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Advisory Board Company's corporate social responsibility program, Community Impact, has issued a call for applications to its first Innovations in Impact partnership grant program.  Submissions are confidential and due by Friday, April 13, 2012.

The firm will award two partnership grants:

  • The Innovations in Impact: Idea Grant will go to an individual or any type of organization with a unique, innovative, and replicable idea for fighting an entrenched problem in health care or education.
  • The Innovations in Impact: Community Partner Grant will be awarded to a not-for-profit organization focused on health care or education services. The winning organization will provide a plan for producing positive outcomes through holistic, innovative corporate social responsibility projects that are large enough to engage The Advisory Board Company's employees across multiple sites.

The grants reward best practice-driven initiatives that articulate measurable, quantitative outcomes goals.  Grant recipients will receive multiple pro bono consulting projects and hands-on support from a range of teams across The Advisory Board Company, along with an annual grant of up to $20,000

"We designed these partnership grants to focus the time, talent, and resources of The Advisory Board Company in the areas where we will have the highest impact on the communities where we live and work," said Scott Schirmeier, Executive Vice President, The Advisory Board Company.  The firm has offices in Washington, DC; Austin; Chicago; San Francisco; Nashville; Ann Arbor; London; and Chennai, India.

"Our goal is to combine our grant recipients' innovative ideas and expertise with our core skills in best-practice research methodology, strategic consulting, change management, and the utilization of technology to affect real, measurable change in our communities," Schirmeier added.
