Sunrise Senior Living Hosts 2012 Tour Of Homes

MCLEAN, Va., March 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --  Sunrise Senior Living (NYSE:SRZ) announced today its second annual Tour of Homes, showcasing resident suites at more than 250 of its senior living communities throughout the United States and Canada. Running Sunday, March 18, through Saturday, March 24, the Tour of Homes events are open to the public and visitors will receive a complimentary copy of Sunrise's Comforts of Home Design Guide with tips from HGTV's Emily Henderson.

The Tour of Homes will allow visitors to hear directly from residents about their life at Sunrise. Each community has selected multiple unique suites with resident hosts ranging from pianists, who still practice their craft at the community, to veterans, whose suites are filled with medals and history.

Expanding on its longtime dedication to creating homelike environments for seniors, Sunrise this year launched a partnership with HGTV Designer and Host Emily Henderson to create tools and offer tips that help seniors and their families design spaces to address the changes caused by aging, as well as support the transition from a larger home to apartment-style living. Tour guests will also witness firsthand all of the special touches our residents enjoy each day through the Sunrise Signature Experience.
