NEW JUANES SINGLE "LA SENAL" IS RELEASED TODAY, MARCH 6TH

MIAMI, March 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Colombian rock superstar JUANES returns to airwaves & iTunes today with the release of "La Senal" (The Signal) - the first single from his upcoming MTV Unplugged album, produced by Tr3s.  Detailing our continual search for clear signals and guidance in the pursuit of love, faith and happiness, this captivating track produced by legendary maestro Juan Luis Guerra is one of three new songs that will appear on Juanes' anticipated exploration of the famed unplugged format. Marking the GRAMMY and multiple LATIN GRAMMY winning artist's long-awaited first live album, "JUANES MTV Unplugged" will also feature engaging new interpretations of Juanes' most distinctive hit songs –including special duet performances with esteemed Spanish poet/songwriter Joaquin Sabina and skyrocketing Brazilian vocal star Paula Fernandes.

Recorded in the acoustically and visually stunning New World Symphony Center in Miami Beach, "La Senal" represents the first Latin single released by Universal Music Latin Entertainment specially mastered for iTunes. As with all tracks on the upcoming album, "La Senal" has been specifically tuned for higher fidelity on iTunes, giving fans the best possible audio quality on their computers and all Apple devices.   

The "JUANES MTV Unplugged" will have its television premiere on Sunday, May 27 on MTV Latin America, and Monday, May 28 on Tr3s: MTV, Musica y Mas in the United States.  The full CD/DVD release will soon follow on Tuesday, May 29th from Universal Music Latino.  Prior to the album's release, look for Juanes to perform a special showcase and participate in a Q&A about the Unplugged project on March 16th at the SXSW® Music and Media Conference in Austin, Texas
