Nearly 2,500,000 Travelers Now Using Concur And TripIt Mobile Apps

REDMOND, Wash. and LONDON, Feb. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- As the mobile industry's biggest event Mobile World Congress kicks off in Barcelona, Concur® (Nasdaq: CNQR), a leading provider of integrated travel and expense management solutions, has announced that close to one million travelers are now using Concur's mobile application on their iPhone, Android, BlackBerry or iPad to book or amend air, rail, car travel, and hotel rooms or manage their expenses. Additionally, more than 1.5 million travelers are using TripIt® on their mobile devices to organize and share their trips.

The figures show that as global smartphone usage continues to rise – according to IDC, the worldwide market increased 5.4 percent year over year in the fourth quarter of 2011 – there is a growing appetite for apps like Concur and TripIt that can make the travel experience more seamless. During the week ending 20th February 2012 alone, over 15,000 people downloaded Concur onto their iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry or Android device.
