today announced that Hal W. Wooden has joined the Company in the newly created position of Vice President of Sales.
"Hal has over 19 years of executive sales management experience in the wireless and networking industry along with 8 years of project and program management expertise in the SCADA and telemetry marketplace. He is well known in our product markets and is in demand as a keynote speaker at wireless industry events. We believe his vast experience and relationships will support efforts to coordinate higher distributor and OEM sales growth for all RFI's business segments," said Howard Hill, Chief Executive Officer of RF Industries.
Hal Wooden, 49, was most recently Vice President of Sales at Talley Inc., where he managed vertical market directors, territory managers and sales engineering activities. Upon joining Talley in 2001, he was charge of all aspects of brand development, product offering, production and sales for CAxT, Talley's Cable Assembly operations. Prior to joining Talley, Wooden was National Sales Manager for Smiths Interconnect (PolyPhaser/Times Microwave division), where he handled key OEM accounts like NORTEL and Ericson while supervising regional sales managers, distributors and manufacturers' representatives. Previously, Wooden was Corporate Director of Business Development with TDI Power, where he was a member of the Executive Staff. Wooden has also worked as Director of PCS and account manager at Emerson Network Power (Northern Technologies), where he developed overall sales and marketing strategy and worked closely with OEM's to develop custom solutions for the PCS market.
Hal Wooden attended the University of Louisiana Monroe, where his coursework was focused on the study of Psychology.
