Toreador And ZaZa Finalize Combination; Rodman & Renshaw, LLC Acts As Advisor To ZaZa Energy LLC And As The Exclusive Agent For The Private Placement Of $100M Of Senior Secured Notes And Related Warrants

Rodman & Renshaw, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rodman & Renshaw Capital Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: RODM), acted as advisor to ZaZa Energy Corporation (“the Company” or “ZaZa”) (NASDAQ: ZAZA) and as the exclusive agent for the private placement of $100M of Senior Secured Notes and related warrants who announced today that it has completed the combination of Toreador Resources and ZaZa Energy LLC, creating an international resource-focused exploration and production company. ZaZa’s portfolio includes producing and exploration assets in the Eagle Ford and Eaglebine resource plays in Texas and the Paris Basin in France. In the merger, each share of Toreador was converted into one share of ZaZa common stock. Today, the common stock of ZaZa Energy Corporation begins trading on the NASDAQ exchange under the stock ticker symbol “ZAZA”.
