Koorosh Beigian Joins AXIS As Chief Information Officer

AXIS Capital Holdings Limited (“AXIS Capital” or the “Company”) (NYSE: AXS) today announced the appointment of Koorosh Beigian to the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Executive Vice President. Koorosh will manage AXIS Capital’s global information technology organization. He brings over 25 years of IT experience in the insurance industry to AXIS Capital. He joined the Company on February 7, 2012. Koorosh will be based in New York and will report to John Murray, Chief Operations Officer at AXIS Capital.

Koorosh was formerly with ACE Group, where he served as Global Chief Technology Officer, with responsibility for all aspects of ACE Group’s IT infrastructure on a global basis. Prior to joining ACE Group, Koorosh served as Global CIO at Combined Insurance Company of America where he had responsibility for all aspects of IT service delivery across its supplemental insurance products group.

Commenting on Koorosh’s appointment, John Murray said, “Koorosh has deep experience leading IT functions at major financial services companies and is well respected in the industry for the breadth and scope of his knowledge. We expect to leverage his expertise to maintain and augment our IT capabilities.”

Koorosh holds a B.B.A. in Information Systems and a M.B.A. from Middle Tennessee State University.
