M&T Bank Introduces Mobile Banking For Business

Stocks in this article: MTB

BUFFALO, N.Y., Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- M&T Bank business customers can now bank securely and conveniently on their smartphones, using the new Mobile Banking for Business service.

With these new capabilities, business customers can perform a range of banking transactions any time. They can pay bills, view account histories and transaction details, check current balances and perform funds transfers. Customers can use the new platform on their mobile phones in any or all of three ways — Mobile Text Banking, Mobile Web Banking, and the free iPhone app. M&T also offers Bookmark Apps for Android™ and BlackBerry® customers.

"This new mobile banking service is another way that M&T Bank makes it easier for our business customers to manage their finances successfully, freeing up time to focus on growing their businesses," said Janet Coletti, senior vice president for Business Banking at M&T Bank. "M&T Bank is one of only a few regional banks to offer a comprehensive mobile banking product suite for business customers."

The new Mobile Banking for Business arrives as more small business customers are choosing the convenience of mobile banking and online services. In 2010, Forrester Research estimated that 49 percent of small business owners were smartphone users, while only 17 percent of Americans reported owning a smartphone.

M&T's two-year-old mobile banking service for consumers has seen rapid adoption from customers. Mobile Banking now is available to all of M&T Bank's business customers who are enrolled in Web Banking for Business. For more information, visit www.mtb.com/mobilebiz.

M&T Bank Corporation, founded in 1856, is one of the top 20 commercial bank holding companies in the nation, with about $78 billion in assets and more than 776 branches in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington D.C.
