Radisys 40G AdvancedTCA
(ATCA) platform for future product lines, doubling the performance of its deep packet inspection (DPI) deployments for traffic monitoring and policy enforcement functions.
As more devices are connected to the network and mobile data traffic continues to grow, it is more important than ever for network operators to be able to analyze traffic for network optimization, efficiency and security. Operators use DPI and policy charging and enforcement functions (PCEF) to monitor, meter and charge for services. Therefore, telecom equipment manufacturers (TEMs) need to create large-scale DPI solutions at ever increasing levels of network connectivity, while meeting operators’ scalability and CAPEX needs. Radisys’ ATCA platforms and application software provide TEMs with the highest performance, scalable DPI solutions.

Currently, C2Tech’s network of aggregated systems leverage Radisys’ 10G ATCA platform and purpose-built load balancing and application software to analyze and process hundreds of gigabits per second (Gb/s) of traffic. The 10G ATCA platform combines cutting-edge switching, packet processing and general purpose central processing units (CPUs) to create one of the world’s largest DPI deployments.
Radisys’ ATCA platforms and application software deliver improved network throughput, lower cost per bit and higher port density. The Radisys 10G ATCA platform can scale to more than 160 Gb/s per chassis, and by combining multiple chassis at single or multiple Point of Presence (PoP) or other aggregation points in the network, these solutions can scale to one terabyte per second (TB/s) or more. In addition, Radisys’ next-generation 40G ATCA platform will scale up to 320G of processing power and 640 Gb/s of network connectivity per chassis to meet the needs of a variety of evolving network deployments.
