The partnership comes at the same time as a Dutch government initiative to invest in science as a means to place the Netherlands in the top five global knowledge economies by 2020. Using InCites citation metrics, Radboud University Nijmegen's Research Office can quantify the results of research investment in key areas, including citations, discipline and collaboration, to measure and evaluate institutional performance. Resources found within InCites allow university administrators to monitor research impact, identify internal strengths and weaknesses, and plan research strategy in line with goals on the university or national level.
