HP, Boeing, Wal-Mart: Dow Movers

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Stocks finished Tuesday mixed after retail sales disappointed.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 4.24. points, or 0.03%, to 12,878.28 on Tuesday. The S&P 500 fell 1.27 points to 1,350.50 and the Nasdaq Composite ticked up 0.44 points to 2,931.83.

Breadth within the Dow was positive with 16 of the index's 30 components posting gains.

The biggest blue-chip percentage gainers Tuesday included HP(HPQ), Boeing(BA) and Wal-Mart(WMT).

Shares of HP rose 1.15% to $29.08. The technology company launched a workstation with a 27-inch display Tuesday which is the first of its kind that is "all-in-one."

TheStreet Ratings gives HP a C grade and a hold rating.

Boeing shares increased 71 cents to $75.56. The aerospace company announced that it and Lion Air completed a firm order for 230 airplanes at $22.4 billion. This was the largest ever commercial plane order for Boeing in terms of both number of airplanes ordered and dollar value.

Boeing gets an A- grade from TheStreet Ratings with a buy rating and a $87.66 price target.

Shares of Wal-Mart rose 43 cents to $62.22. TheStreet Ratings gives Wal-Mart an A- grade with a buy rating and $71.56 price target.

The biggest percentage decliners in the index were Bank of America(BAC), Alcoa(AA) and DuPont(DD).

Shares of Bank of America fell 3.27% to $7.98. The bank was downgraded to a neutral from a buy by Citi analysts on Tuesday.

TheStreet Ratings gives Bank of America a D+ grade and a sell rating.

DuPont shares dropped 1.86% to $49.66. The chemical company announced Tuesday that it is building a technology station in Beijing for its Pioneer seed division.

DuPont gets an A- grade from TheStreet Ratings with a buy rating and a $60.13 price target.

Shares of Alcoa fell 1.16% to $10.21. TheStreet Ratings gives Alcoa a C- grade and a hold rating.
