Dickey's Barbecue Pit Heading To West Jordan

WEST JORDAN, Utah, Feb. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Dickey's Barbecue Pit is coming soon to West Jordan.

"We feel that this is a strong stable area that has a great mix of residential and business communities," said local franchise owner Blake Turner.

Turner was born and raised in Utah. He graduated from University of Utah with a degree in accounting.

"I have a background in restaurant franchising and was looking for a restaurant that was new and up and coming. We saw a concept in Dickey's that was unique," said Turner. "There aren't very many casual dining barbecue places especially in Utah. It doesn't hurt that the food is amazing as well."

Turner runs this business with his father Paul, his older brothers Troy and Trent.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit opened its first location in Dallas in 1941. Dickey's began franchising in 1994 and has continued to grow across the country. Dickey's currently has more than 200 locations in 36 states nationwide.
