LAS VEGAS, Feb. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sbyke USA, LLC announces that the P-16 will join the sbyke ^® lineup of hybrid rear-steering scooters. The new model is designed and engineered for smaller riders, including kids 5 and older. This addition to the sbyke ^® family will be unveiled February 12-15 at Toy Fair 2012 in New York. With an array of sizes from which to choose, it's now even easier for sbyke ^® to be a fun activity for all ages and riding styles. The sbyke ^® is a hybrid that blends the best of bicycles, skateboards and scooters into something totally new, giving the rider mobility, precision control and a smooth ride. This three-wheeled, rear-steering scooter uses a large front BMX wheel to provide stability and substantially lower rolling resistance than existing scooters or skateboards. Its compact, lightweight design means riders can put and carry it almost anywhere. Because of its stability and wide maple deck, the sbyke ^® allows for comfortable side-by-side foot placement—even for adults. The sbyke ^® features the ease and maneuverability of rear-wheel steering and includes the added safety of a hand-brake when riders really get going.

The original P-20 model is engineered to accommodate most riders from ages 8 to 80. It began shipping in late 2011 and rounded out the year with the honor of being named in People magazine's Holiday 2011 Gift Guide.

The advent of the more compact sbyke ^® P-16 extends ridership to kids as young as 5 years old while only reducing the weight capacity to 165 pounds. Debuting for the first time at Toy Fair 2012, this model offers all the benefits of the larger version in a size tailored for smaller riders. It will retail at a lower price-point than the sbyke ^® P-20 and will be available for shipment to retailers well in advance of the 2012 holiday season.

The sbyke ^® offers great appeal to toy retailers because it's easy to demonstrate in-store how it rides and it takes up minimal space. It presents a great way for retailers to gain incremental sales.

Demonstrating the appeal of the sbyke ^® to all ages, 15-time Motocross, Supercross legend Ricky Carmichael uses the sbyke ^® at work and home. "The sbyke ^® is great fun! Toy Fair 2012, which is expected to host 1,100 exhibitors from across the globe, is taking place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.
