Brother P-touch® Offers A Variety Of Tools To Help You Get Organized In 2012

BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Feb. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- For many people, a more organized and simple life is a top priority this year. With the winter months keeping many people inside, there's no better time to get organized. Brother International Corporation, a leader in small business technology, offers a variety of tools within their P-touch® product lines to help people meet their organization goals in 2012 and beyond.

"We offer several different P-touch label makers so that everyone can find the right fit for them, no matter how disorganized they may be," said Linda Sanford, Director of Marketing for Brother Electronic Stationery Products. "The most challenging thing about organizing can sometimes be just getting started. P-touch helps make organizing easy and fun for the whole family, with our wide variety of tape sizes and colors."

While organization comes naturally to some people, many need help staying motivated throughout the winter months. Certified Professional Organizer Diane Albright, a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, has provided some tips and tricks to staying organized this winter so you won't have to do as much when it's time for spring cleaning.

  • The key to getting organized is having a designated place for everything. Create specific places for your most commonly used items so that you can begin to minimize clutter.
  • Labeling bins and folders is an essential part of organization. Since we typically only use 20% of the items we have on a regular basis, it is easy to forget the location of the other 80%.
  • Set that overwhelming to-do list aside and only write down the three most important tasks to work on each day. At the end of the day, while your mind is still fresh, create a new 3-item task list for the following day.
  • To maximize space, go vertical. Store what you can upright, instead of using valuable horizontal space.
  • If you try out these tips and still have trouble getting organized, consider hiring a professional organizer to teach you additional paths to lasting organization.

The P-touch line of labelers offers a variety of home and office models to help you get organized. The PT-1290, part of the Simply Stylish Series, is perfect for organization in and around the home and home office. The Simply Professional Series is highlighted by the PT-2730, a PC-connectable desktop labeler, perfect for the home and office. Most P-touch models use TZe laminated labels which are durable enough for organizing items both indoors and outside.
