Erickson Beamon Presents "Deca-Dance"

NEW YORK, Feb. 7, 2012  /PRNewswire/ -- For Fall/Winter 2012, Erickson Beamon will show it's first ready-to-wear collection at Milk Studios on Thursday, February 9th from 8:30 to 10pm. The presentation will include a collection of dresses handcrafted by Karen Erickson and Vicki Beamon. The Citizens Band will perform for this season's soiree titled "Deca-Dance".

Inspired by 1920's and 30's burlesque in Berlin and the traveling carnivals that defined the "dirty thirties," this Erickson Beamon collection evokes a dark, sensual boudoir feeling. Slip and cocktail dresses are embellished with signature Erickson Beamon elements: a crystal brooch made with Swarovski Elements adorns the neckline, chain drapes along the shoulder, crystals fall to the hem.  In true Erickson Beamon fashion, each piece is individually dyed in brilliant jewel tones (lustrous black, raisin, bottle green, bordeaux, indigo).  Who better to translate the intensity and depth of precious gems into fabric and lace?
