NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Ferrellgas Partners (NYSE:FGP) hit a new 52-week low Friday as it is currently trading at $17.02, below its previous 52-week low of $17.06 with 686,383 shares traded as of 3:45 p.m. ET. Average volume has been 257,600 shares over the past 30 days.

Ferrellgas has a market cap of $1.32 billion and is part of the basic materials sector and energy industry. Shares are down 5.6% year to date as of the close of trading on Thursday.

Ferrellgas Partners, L.P. engages in the distribution and sale of propane, and related equipment and supplies primarily in the United States.
