Let a Chef Quarterback Your Super Bowl Party

LAS VEGAS (MainStreet) -- Restaurants and bars across the country have embraced the end of football season with special tailgate menus and sophisticated yet playful drink specials for fans to graze the game away. TravelsinTaste has rounded up the best selections for you to enjoy.

New Yorkers gathering with friends to watch the game should know of the tradition at the bar in Petaluma: a Super Bowl buffet. Free to everyone who can fit in, the fare is pure football food and features a few dishes from a soon-to-be-launched bar menu as well as a special list of half-off wines and drinks (including martinis). "I have always been a big fan of trios -- either an ingredient done three ways or three related dishes, and on the bar menu we will have a trio of pasta: mini lasagna, mini mac and cheese, mini cavatelli -- some small, warm pick-me-ups for a cold winter's night," General Manager Vince Deuschel says.

Park Avenue Tavern has three options where you'll feel right at home, but with more space! Gather around the five flat-screen televisions surrounding the main bar for prime football watching or watch the game on a 50-inch flatscreen with a small group of friends in the Luxe Living Room. Guests in the Barrel Room can even pour their own drafts tableside while watching the game.

Or you could let football fan and Chef David Burke (of davidburke townhouse fame) quarterback your Super Bowl party with his to-go package from David Burke at Bloomingdale's -- eight dishes for a complete at-home tailgating party, such as "pigs in comforters," beef chili and pulled-pork sandwiches.

Fans can enjoy the game on more than 100 high-definition televisions, including the 9-by-16-foot main television, at Lagasse's Stadium in Las Vegas' Palazzo.

Chef/owner Julian Medina is offering a "Blue" Giants-themed menu at Toloache 82, where his guacamole de frutas, tacos, ceviches, margaritas and more will be available.

Bark in Brooklyn is holding a Super Bowl party with Sixpoint Brewery, which will feature classic fare, some additional goodies and an extensive catering menu including wings, sausages, signature burgers and classic hot dogs, among other delectable items.
