Ramco-Gershenson Announces 2011 Year End Tax Reporting Information

Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust (NYSE:RPT) announced today that 2011 distributions on the Company’s common shares of beneficial interest represent 50.8037% total ordinary dividends, 22.9299% total capital gain distributions, and 26.2664% non-dividend distributions. The distributions on the common shares for 2011 were based upon a quarterly rate of $0.16325 per share resulting in an annual distribution of $0.6530 per share.

Ramco-Gershenson also announced that 2011 distributions on the Company’s 7.25% Series D convertible perpetual preferred shares of beneficial interest (NYSE:RPT.PD) represent 68.9020% total ordinary dividends and 31.0980% total capital gain distributions. The distributions on the Series D preferred shares for 2011 were based upon quarterly distributions of $0.855903 per share for the period April 6, 2011 (date of issue) through June 30, 2011 and $0.90625 per share for the third and fourth quarter of 2011.

The income tax treatment for 2011 distributions for Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust common shares of beneficial interest, CUSIP No. 751452202*, traded on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker symbol RPT, is as follows (as reported on Form 1099-DIV):

*Also applies to CUSIP #751452103, for shares of beneficial interest that have not been exchanged for common shares of beneficial interest in the Maryland Trust pursuant to a change of venue merger which changed the Trust’s state of organization from Massachusetts to Maryland.
