Sultan will be responsible for expanding the mobile marketing and advertising leader’s business through channel and partner development. Sultan, a seasoned mobile marketing entrepreneur and executive, was the Founder and President of industry pioneer Acuity Mobile, Inc., where he developed industry-first methodologies and partnerships that brought data and applied analytics to the mobile ecosystem. He established and oversaw major partnerships and client engagements with Acxiom, MGM-Mirage, Harrah’s Entertainment, Experian, Sprint and NAVTEQ among others. Following the acquisition of Acuity Mobile by Nokia/NAVTEQ in 2009, Sultan served as the General Manager of Enterprise Mobile Marketing Solutions at Nokia. “Alan is a proven and highly skilled business development executive with a strong track record in the mobile industry,” said Hipcricket CEO Paul Arena. “In addition, he is recognized as a leader in the development and implementation of mobile marketing strategies within enterprise, interactive and CRM environments. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Hipcricket team.” Sultan also co-founded and served as the Senior Vice President Business Development and Corporate Director of KnowledgeMax, Inc., where he developed strategic partnerships and engaged major clients including IBM, General Motors, Marriott, Pearson, Thomson, UPS and Deutsche Bank. He was actively involved in the sale of the company to publicly traded Sideware Systems. As a recognized leader in the mobile marketing industry, Sultan is actively involved with several industry initiatives, including the Mobile Commerce Committee at the Mobile Marketing Association. “I have followed Hipcricket’s progress for years,” observed Sultan. “The company’s momentum has escalated significantly due to the effectiveness of its mobile marketing and advertising initiatives. I am eager to work with its outstanding team of mobile marketing professionals to continue the global development of business relationships and strategic channel partnerships.”TheStreet Premium Services
