Dish Network Surges on AT&T Buyout Rumors
NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- Dish Network (DISH - Get Report) is surging on speculation that AT&T (T - Get Report) could be eying the satellite TV giant.
This comes after AT&T's decision to attempt to buy T-Mobile fell through. The telecom behemoth originally said it wanted to buy T-Mobile to help it build a faster network quickly and cheaply. An acquisition of Dish Network could also serve this purpose.
Shares of Dish are jumping 8.3% to $27.22 in morning trading.
